Welcome to the first-ever SEIU Local 083 Communications Team! Thank you for stepping up. As we enter bargaining, our ability to communicate effectively is key to our success. Remember: communication is organizing. Our work is to build power by shaping the narrative and keeping our members engaged.

Our Strategic Focus

Our mission is to create compelling, consistent messaging that builds member power. We will focus on three key areas:

• Social Media: Share member stories, create infographics for bargaining proposals, and post live updates to build pressure and visibility.
• Zines & Physical Media: Design and produce a bargaining zine, flyers, and posters to reach all members and create a tangible sense of our movement.
• Narrative & Storytelling: Proactively define our story. We'll craft core messages that highlight who we are, the essential work we do, and why our proposals benefit the entire OSU community.
