The turnout at today’s rally at the University in Oregon in Eugene was great – workers came out by the hundreds to show management we are paying close attention to this year’s contract negotiations. We are strong, united and ready to fight for what we deserve.

Bargaining for the week is done – there are no more sessions scheduled for this afternoon. Our bargaining team will instead continue to work on responses to management’s proposals and what steps we plan to take moving forward.

With management’s actions – proposing 0% over the next four years, meaning no COLAs, no step increases, nothing – it’s clear that workers who power our state’s public universities are not a priority for them. That’s unacceptable and we must continue to organize and mobilize.

Every action we take, we do with purpose.

Let’s continue to organize, stay engaged in this fight and do everything we can to show our worker power.

We deserve dignity, respect, and a contract that reflects our value. See video of the action here.
