2026 Bargaining Update

Latest from the bargaining table

Show up June 30 because management's offer is unacceptable.

Management's current offer would freeze steps and COLAs for four years, reduce overtime earnings, shift healthcare costs, and weaken layoff and contracting protections. A strong rally turnout shows the universities that classified workers are organized, united, and ready to fight for a fair contract.

Frequently Asked Questions

How are my union dues used?

Your dues fund the resources we need to win strong contracts and defend our rights. This includes legal support, skilled negotiators, organizers, training for stewards, and communications to keep all members informed.

What is the difference between a member and a non-member?

All classified staff are covered by a contract, but only members have the right to vote on that contract, elect union leadership, and participate in union decision-making. Our strength comes from a high membership rate, which shows management we are united.

How do I contact my union steward?

Your steward is your first point of contact for workplace issues. You can reach out to the stewards by emailing them from the contact page.
